Well, I haven't been around much last week, and this coming week will be the same. I am going out of town with the family for the entire week. S?hould be fun.

I am taking the laptop, but don't think I'll get to do more than keep the market going.

Alright, I totally lied about being on last night. Ended up buying a new 46" LCD HD TV last night and the setup took all night. It's totally bad ass BTW.

Watched Resident Evil last night it HD, AWESOME!

Not yet, we are looking into Blue Ray players. May just get a PS3. Anyone used a PS3 to play Blue Ray?

I'd honesly rather have an XBOX, but no Blue Ray.

Yeah I do and it works nicely. One problem though, if you use HDMI, and have it setup to use HDMI under the DVD settings, it will have a pink hue over the movie(blue ray or regular DVD movies). I found this following quote from a forum fixed the issue:

I tried the software update and that did not help. I went through the BD/DVD Video settings one at a time, each time starting the DVD over again, and finally got it to work correctly by changing the "BD/DVD Video Output Format (HDMI)" to RGB from Y Pb/Cb Pr/Cr. Why this makes such a difference I do not know, but now the color looks great on Blu-ray and DVD.

This is just so if you decide to get a PS3 (I'd recommend it just for the blu ray player alone) you wont be pulling your hair out like I was when I couldnt play any movies unless I watched them in pink.

Get an xbox 360, it plays dvd and hdmi fine from the gate. Soon u will also be able to get netflix straight to your xbox as well. And if blue ray wins completly and they stop making hd dvd xbox already said they would release a blu ray player for the xbox. Plus u get HALO 3 :) and I have an xbox :P

Got me a PS3 last month, and love it. Also I had no problems with HDMI, just plugged it right in and worked great. Even regular movies look awsome! GTA is the SHIZNIT

Well, it's definately on the list of next big purchases. And if the price of blue ray players stays up, the likely hood of a PS3 stays high. I'll have to actually start paying attention to consoles now.

The problem is, I'm really not much of a console player. I do play the Wii occasionally. But, honestly the kids play it way more than I do.

Yeah I'm not much of a console gamer either. I mainly got the PS3 for the blu-ray seeing as a player costs about as much as a PS3 so I figure the added option of a bit of gaming is a bonus.

@King:
Blu-Ray already beat HD DVD. Microsoft has in the works an Xbox with built in blu-ray but all, current, xboxes will NOT have a blu-ray add-on available, at least it hasn't been announced yet. Problem with Xbox is they put all their hopes in HD DVD and had plans to release an HD DVD add-on for the Xbox then Toshiba pulled out of the HD DVD push and Blu-ray won the battle. +1 for PS, -1 for Xbox :( The only thing the Xbox really has goin for it over the PS3 is the amount of games released. Xbox has a crap load of games and PS3 has been slow on the game release but its getting better.

Also PS3 is working on this "Home" system. Think of The Sims online (or second life) but exclusivly for PS3 owners. It looks to be interesting.

Well, I likely won't make a move till closer to xmas time. Maybe by then they will have a blue ray xbox.

Yeah I haven't been around lately. Kinda taking a break from games and all. If anything serious pops up and im needed I'll be there but for now I may be in and out some.

Well i am going to bring down the pos in ng- and use it to put on the moon we going to take in uov6. And u are missing on a lot tek. As an alliance we had 500 kills and only 98 losses or some shit just for last week. But take your time, by the time u get back we will all be rich and wallowing in the isk :P

And xbox360 is mucho better than ps3. You can do more with the xbox it has 1000 times more people playing it online, as or today over 10 mill or maybe it was a million but either way a shit load.

TEK, yeah blu ray won but they are making a standalone player for the xbox 360. This was announced when they say blu ray won. You can walk into any store and when games are released all the xbox ones are gone and there is plenty of ps3 games. PS3 took way too long to get out and cost way too much to start.
